Isn’t this just fantastic????
Millie, works for us, entered this quilt into the Festival of quilts for the age group 12-16yrs and won 1st prize! It is painted and then freehand quilted on the machine.
It is on display at Heirs and Graces so please come and have a closer look.
We are rearranging things a bit in the chapel at Heirs and Graces and so we have decided put some of our yarn on sale.
Not all of the yarn is on sale, but the wool which is on sale has a massive 40% off!!!
Hurry down to the chapel and see what you can get your hands on.
Hello friends. Sorry we have been a bit quiet here at Heirs and Graces. Sometimes things can get a bit hectic.
Anyway, I have been working on a couple of projects to show you over the next few weeks. One project is a Rowandean embroidery of Oriental Poppies. This kit comes with the background fabric already printed with some guidelines. The threads are beautiful quality and the instructions are clear and easily understood with plenty of pictures for extra guidance.
The other project is the repair of an altar cloth from a local church. Here are a few picture of its condition before I have started work.
Next week I will give an update on one of the projects (whichever I have done most work on!!)
We are so lucky here at Heirs and Graces to be just a couple of miles away from the amazing stately home Chatsworth, originally built by the famous Bess of Hardwick and home to the Cavendish family since 1549.
From the 7th to the 11th of June they are holding their first Royal Horticultural Society flower show and to celebrate this we have 50% off of all the fabrics when purchasing more than 2 metres, in the ‘White Peak’ embroidery shop (fabrics in the chapel, felt and organza are not included in the sale).
Keep your eyes peeled for more flower related posts this week!
