Illustrious British Wool

West Yorkshire Spinners have done it again. Their new group of yarns ‘Illustrious’ are just divine. There are thirteen shades in the range. With 70% Falklands wool and 30% British Alpaca the feel of this yarn is so soft and yet still able to give perfect stitch definition. The knitting book that has been published to go along with this range is as beautifully set out as their last book. We are learning to expect a particular style of book from WYS, knowing that those of us who like to knit with British wool are a tactile bunch even the paper the book is published on is lovely to the touch and it has the much desired spiral binding that makes it so much easier to lie the patterns flat as you knit. The photography is as great as the styles themselves. Be warned you will want to knit everything in the book.

Here are a few photos to whet your appetite. As always these yarns need to be felt to be believed so pop in to our shop and see for yourself and pick up your copy of the book and whichever colour takes your fancy.
